Getting to 5-Figures is Simple, But Not Easy...
Just because you can, doesn't mean you do!
For the first 8 years of my business, I was in what I call the 'feast or famine' earning phase.
Some months, I'd be bringing in $5k-$10k easily, while other months I'd be lucky if I cleared $1k.
Aside from trying to cover our monthly bills, I felt a lot of pressure to always be chasing sales... to find the next client, to create the next offer.
It was exhausting.
By the time 2020 rolled around, I'd had enough.
So I tried an experiment...
From February to September 2020, I spent the next 7 months promoting something to my audience EVERY single Monday.
Sometimes it was a new offer. Sometimes it was an existing offer. It didn't really matter what it was.
The experiment was to present the opportunity for people to buy something from me every, single, day.
And what a ride this was! No more feast and famine for me...
UNTIL OCTOBER 2020 THAT IS.
For some reason, by mid-October, I had barely made $500.
And by the end of October, our savings were completely gone.
I cried my eyes out when I realized... 😭
We didn't have enough money to pay for rent.
It was one of the most awful moments in my adult life.
I remember thinking, "How could I have possibly let this happen?"
I don't know about you, but things can snowball quickly, in both directions, if you're not paying attention.
And I definitely wasn't paying attention. 😤
We were lucky enough to be able to borrow money from family.
Once the 'monkey was off our back' I was able to switch gears and figure things out.
It was then that I realized that I had stopped doing two important things in my business:
